Take-And-Bake Pies

Pre-order For The Holidays!

Come on, admit it: pies never taste better than fresh from the oven.

And those limp pies you buy in the freezer section are only worthy of the out-of-town relatives you don’t really like.

Wow your family, guests, and even the neighbors you want to make jealous with a delicious hand-made pie you bake fresh!

The not-so-secret secret to our delicious pies is their flaky, all-butter crust, filled to the brim with delectable fruits and nuts.

These uncooked pies can remain in your freezer for 4-6 weeks; whip one out and bake it fresh whenever you have people to impress!

Flavors
Fujiyummy Apple Pie

Succulent and delicious, you’ll love the sweet apples combined with the buttery, flaky crust.

Store-bought pies will hide in shame.

Baking Instructions:

  • Bake from frozen.
  • (To keep the crust edges from over-browning, you can cover them with strips of tinfoil until about the last 15 minutes of baking.)
  • BONUS OPTION!  Brush the top crust with milk or mayonnaise and sprinkle with a cinnamon/sugar mix.  (You can also poke a few vent holes through the top, if desired.)
  • Bake @ 450 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 375 and bake for about 30-45 minutes more; slip a knife through the crust and into the apples to test for doneness (choose the shorter baking time if you prefer a firmer apple pie and the longer baking time if you like your apples softer).

We LOVE our apple pie fresh from the oven, with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream.  However, it's also excellent at room temperature or even chilled.

Kiss Yo’ Granny Apple Pie

Granny Smith apples make this pie sweet but with a nice kick of tartness; like the old lady herself.

If only Granny had made pies like this one . . .

Kick A$$ Pumpkin Pie

We hated pumpkin pies until we started making our own from fresh roasted pumpkins.

Who knew canned pumpkin sucked so much?

You can really taste the spices in this meaty, textured pie!

Baking Instructions:

  • Bake from frozen.
  • (To keep the crust edges from over-browning, you can cover them with strips of tinfoil until about the last 15 minutes of baking.)
  • Bake @ 450 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 375 and bake for about another 50-60 minutes; pie is done when the center is firm to the touch.
Our favorite way to eat this pie is fresh from the oven, but it'll be firmer and also delicious once cooled to room temperature (or even chilled).  Either way, it's even more kick-a$$ with a dollop (or three) of sweetened whipped cream.

Renewed Sense Of The Goodness Of The World

Sweet Potato Pecan Pie - a "Fancy Pants" Pie
This just might be our new favorite Thanksgiving pie!  Caramelized pecans top a creamy sweet potato filling.  Delicious!

Baking Instructions:

  • Bake from frozen.
  • (To keep the crust edges from over-browning, you can cover them with strips of tinfoil until about the last 15 minutes of baking.)
  • Bake @ 450 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 375 and bake for about another 80-100 minutes; pie is done when the center is firm to the touch.

*Keep an eye on the pecans!  To keep them from getting too browned, you'll probably need to lay a sheet of tinfoil over the pie for at least the last half-hour or so of baking.  Don't worry: this pie is worth the extra attention!*

This pie is best-served at room temperature, especially with a dollop of lightly-sweetened whipped cream.
